Days after announcing a feature that allows migration of chats to different numbers, WhatsApp is now working on a new tool called “Flash Call.”
WhatsApp is launching the new version up to 2.21.11.7 that comes with the recent feature-Flash Call.
This feature will enable you to verify your phone when logging into WhatsApp automatically.
WhatsApp will ask for permission to access your phone log.
If you accept the messaging app to access your log, it will automatically verify if you’ve received the call that will give you access to your WhatsApp account.
Why are they called flash calls? WhatsApp will call your phone number and then automatically end the call, verifying if it’s present in the call log, so it’s really a fast call:
WhatsApp will only use this once to confirm you have received the call. It won’t be used for other purposes, and it’s an optional feature.

You can also decide not to use flash calls and reply to the verification call normally by selecting the option, “Not now.”
In other news, WhatsApp has confirmed that it’s working on a new feature that will allow you to transfer your chat history into a different phone number.
This feature fixes the “issue” where a user couldn’t restore the chat history after buying a device that’s not on the same operating system. In fact, it’s not possible to restore your chat history from iCloud on WhatsApp for Android, and WhatsApp for iOS cannot restore the backup from Google Drive.
WhatsApp is now working on a solution to migrate the chat history.

This feature is under development on WhatsApp for Android and iOS, and it will be available in a future update (no release date available): stay tuned to discover new features!
