Previously, there was no natural way to see the status of reviews you submitted for a takedown in an organized manner.

The newest feature within Google My Business is designed to allow local SEOs to report reviews for removal and check the status of the reviews they’ve recommended for expulsion for violating Google’s review policies.
To access this tool, all you need is to press this link and follow instructions.
Step one: Select your business, then select either of the two options:
‘Check the status of a review I reported previously ‘or, ‘Report a new review for the takedown.’
Then, press Continue.

Step 2: After selecting ‘Report a new review for the takedown,’ you’ll see a complete list of your recent reviews that you can ‘click to view on Google Maps’ or submit a takedown request – ‘Report a Problem’ as shown on the screenshot below:

If you select the option to check the status of a previously reported review, it will show you those reviews, including the current situation.
All the reviews on the Google My Business (GMB) are organized in chronological order. Reviews that were previously removed are not displayed on the list.

Step 3: You can then select that review to see more of a summary and even submit an appeal if your takedown request was not accepted.
Google has made the appeal process for the removal of disputable reviews relatively easy for the local SEOs.

According to some users, there’s a limit to the number of reviews Google will show on the GMB dashboard.
Joy Hawkin, the Local Search Forum owner, said, “This feature seems to only work for Google My Business accounts that have a small number of listings in them.
I tried it in an account with 33 listings, and it said, ‘Based on the number of Business Profiles you manage, this process is not available.’
Our agency account also had too many listings to qualify to use it.”
This is not the first time Google is updating its GMB product for improved customer experience.
Last month, the search engine giant announced that Google My Business (GMB) had received an update that allows business owners to communicate to their customers opening dates.
Google wrote the following on its announcements’ board:
“Add an opening date to your Business Profile to tell customers when your business first opened, or will open, at its address.
Only the year and month of your opening date are required. You can enter a date up to one year in the future, but it won’t show on Google until 90 days before the date.”
