Google Ads Phone Number: What You Need to Know

When you need help with a problem with an online service, it can sometimes be a little bit confusing to figure out how to resolve the issue. Thankfully, there is a Google Ads phone number 1-800-121-8000 for those challenging times when you encounter a tricky situation with your Google Ads account.

This direct line to the Google Ads help center can be the salvation for many account issues, but you should realize that it is not the gateway to advertising wisdom. In this article, we’ll explain what you can use the Google Ads phone number for, so you know when to get in touch.

Google Ads support tips

Google Ads Customer Services

There are several ways in which you can contact the Google Ads support team whenever you have an account issue. Let’s take a closer look at each one:

Google Ads Phone Number

You’ll find the Google Ads phone number within your account user interface, starting from the dashboard.

Navigate to the top bar to click the ‘?’ symbol.

This opens a drop-down help menu, which includes the phone number.

The Google Ads Phone Number is +1-844-756-8495 people calling from within the United States. The operating hours for the team on this number are 9.00 am – 8:00 pm EST Monday – Friday.

Send an Email

If you can’t get through on the phone or prefer not to speak to someone directly, then you can send an email detailing your issue. The Google Ads support team can help you with many account matters, including:

  • Ad Performance
  • Ad Policy and Review
  • Billing and Payments
  • Google Analytics
  • Shopping Campaigns / Product Listing Ads
  • Receiving a suspicious email impersonating Google Ads etc.

When you want to send an email about your issues, select the ‘?’ symbol in the top navigation bar and then select ‘Get help”.

Next, scroll down to select Contact Us, which will then give you the option to explain the problem in Chat or Email. For example, you could tell Google that your ads are currently under review, and so you’d like to check the status of the ads.

To do this, select Email, then complete the required fields. Finally, select Submit to send your email.

Chat with the Google Ads Team

As you can see from the images above, there is also the option to chat with the team, which may be a more appealing alternative if you want a quicker resolution than email.

Select Chat to begin a live text conversation with a member of the Google Ads support team. Essentially, this is the halfway house between email and calling the Google Ads phone number.

Just fill in the required fields and select Submit to start chatting about your issue — and how to fix it.

Google Support Forums

Now and then, we all encounter issues in Google Ads that can perplex us, even after a lot of experience in pay-per-click (PPC advertising). What do you do when you don’t know how to resolve issues?

If you don’t want to contact the team on the Google Ads phone number, email, or chat, you have another option: the Google Ads support forums.

On these forums, you’ll find thousands of posts from other advertisers — many of them experts in Google Ads. The chances are that you’ll find others with the same issue as you, and so, you can tap into the knowledge banks of many experienced Google Ads users to improve your own skills at remedying problems with your account.

Here are a few tips when using the Google Ads support forums:

  1. Before creating a new post asking for help with something, perform a search to see if there are existing conversations about the issue. It’s better to add your voice to the active thread, rather than to split the discussion across duplicate threads.
  2. As an exception to the point above, if you’re posting about account recovery issues or account suspension, it’s better to start your own thread rather than to post in an existing one.
  3. Look out for threads with “Recommended Answer(s)” as these will likely have the insight you need to tackle the issue at hand.
  4. Always be courteous and friendly. Remember that all volunteers devote time from their free hours, and their intent is always to help, even when their answers may not resolve your issue. Any abuse, foul language, or inflammatory behavior online could be in breach of the Google Help Communities Content Policy, which may lead to you being banned from the forums.

Social Media

Lastly, you can go outside the Google Ads realm to get assistance from people on social media platforms, namely Facebook and LinkedIn. Here, you’ll find many PPC professionals and dedicated Google Ads groups are abundant on both platforms. Don’t be shy about reaching out in these groups to ask for expert help on an issue with your Google Ads account. Most people will be ready and willing to impart their advice.

Before Calling the Google Ads Phone Number

You may be tempted to dive in with a quick phone call or email, but before you do, consider reading around the topic first. Not only will this make you more comfortable in discussing the matter with the support team or an expert in a forum or chat, but you may find a way to resolve the issue yourself.
